The Parul Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Centre (PIERC) at Parul University serves as a recognized Nodal Institution (NI) under the Scheme for Assistance for Startups/Innovation — an initiative of the Industries Commissionerate, Government of Gujarat. Inspiring Young Minds Through Free Access to Learning Spaces and Resources

Parul University regularly opens its academic, technological, and innovation facilities to school students as part of its public engagement and lifelong learning initiatives. Between September 2023 and May 2024, several schools from across Gujarat and other states—including Surat, Vadodara, Amreli, Nadiad, Padra, and Goa—visited the University. More than 700 students explored diverse departments including FabLab and Tinkering Hub. These visits enabled students to experience real-world learning environments, interact with faculty, and gain exposure to higher education opportunities, research facilities, and skill-based innovations. The Department of Physical Education & Sports serves as the driving force behind this initiative, extending the University’s world-class sports infrastructure to the wider community. Beyond nurturing student development, the department has evolved into a regional center for physical activity and athletic excellence. It collaborates closely with key governmental and sports organizations such as the Sports Authority of Gujarat, the Association of Indian Universities, and various national sports federations, enabling the campus to host numerous state and national-level competitions.

Facilities like the FIFA-standard football ground at the Milkha-Messi Sports Complex, the international cricket grounds, and the multi-sport Dhyanchand Complex function as shared community assets that promote health, recreation, and sporting engagement. Mobile Library Project - Bringing Learning to rural doorsteps

Parul University has introduced the innovative "GYAN DHARA" Mobile Library, an initiative dedicated to fostering a love for learning and reading among students in rural areas. Launched as a pilot project in the villages of Ishwarpura and Kamlapura, GYAN DHARA—Guiding Youth by Activating Network, Developing Holistic, Analytic Reading-skills Around us —is a powerful step toward making education accessible to all. Twice a week, library staff visit these villages, bringing a mobile collection of over 550 books, charts, and digital tools to engage young minds.

The mobile library offers books across a range of topics, including Gujarati children’s stories, environmental education, and cultural tales, catering to over 115 students eager to explore new worlds through reading. Equipped with educational videos, interactive storytelling, drawing, and puzzles, GYAN DHARA provides a well-rounded learning experience that goes beyond traditional classroom methods. Through these activities, the mobile library promotes curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, setting a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

The program’s impact has been significant, encouraging reading habits and holistic growth among children in these communities. With plans to expand this initiative to more villages, Parul University aims to extend the reach of quality education and promote intellectual development among rural youth. FabLab - Digital Fabrication Space

FabLab at Parul University is a publicly accessible fabrication laboratory equipped with advanced digital-manufacturing technologies such as multi-colour FDM 3-D printers, SLA/DLP 3-D printers, PCB milling machines, CNC routers, laser cutters and vinyl cutters. External learners, startups, and educators can book lab sessions or attend workshops to explore design thinking and prototyping. This makes the FabLab a tangible resource for lifelong learning, providing hands-on, practical access to technologies that support innovation, design thinking and entrepreneurship beyond the remit of enrolled degree students.

The Micro-Nano Research & Development Center at Parul University is a multidisciplinary applied research and training facility focused on nanomaterials, nanoelectronics, MEMS and biomedical nanotechnology.
